SERMON APPLICATION QUESTIONS

  1. In what ways might you have been unfairly judgmental or harshly critical in your attitudes towards another recently? What steps can you take to restore that relationship?
  1. In what areas have you failed to rightly judge your own heart recently? What steps can you take to remove the spiritual log that is in your heart?
  2. In what ways have you failed to be discerning and therefore become accepting of sinful patterns in your brothers and sisters recently? What steps can you take to display more love for them and the church in addressing the spiritual sand (sin) in their lives?
  3. In verse 6, Jesus commands us not to give what is holy to the dogs or throw a costly and precious pearl to a pig or it can become dangerous to you. How do you know who the dogs and the hogs are? How do you know when to refuse to give the dogs and hogs what is holy and precious and intended for the health, growth, and good of the church?
