The proclamation of Christ is at the heart of all God’s activity - it is the heart of what we do at Green Run.
We treasure the Bible as God-inspired word. It is a historical, actuate, and trustworthy testimony of God and all that He has done. Because it is the only sufficient source of truth about God, we delight to submit our lives to its authority. It is the foundation for all we believe and do as a Christian community. This is why solid, biblical preaching and teaching is such a priority for us. Our goal is to proclaim, submit to, and help each other apply the amazing truths of the Bible.
We treasure the Gospel we have discovered through the Bible. At GRBC, our passion for the Gospel compels all that we do. The Gospel is the Good news that concerns the Person and work of Jesus Christ. It tells us that God has demonstrated His love for us through the death of Jesus Christ in our place. We have broken God's commands and have lived in opposition to His design for us, and because of this, we deserve punishment from God. However, He showed us mercy as His Son took our place on the cross, taking our punishment, and giving us new, transformed life. It is this great love that motivates and equips us to live for Him.
We are passionate about the One True God. God is Triune: Father, Son, and Spirit. Above all else, GRBC desires to glorify God. We understand that we do this by striving, through the power of His Spirit; to live our lives in humble gratitude for all that He has done for us through the life, death, resurrection of Jesus Christ. It means that we seek to live lives that are ever increasing in our love for Him. It means we live lives while depending on His grace to sustain us and to help us live more like Jesus. It means that we live so that His love is shown to all people.
We are passionate about people. We understand that all people are made in the image of God, and because of this, all people have significance. Because of the love of God we have come to know through Jesus, we are compelled to tell others about Him so they might come to know the joy of that loving relationship, and so the Lord Jesus may be glorified by all people.
