Application Questions
1. What was the reason for the gladness expressed by the Psalmist in verses 1-2? What is your normal attitude when you make your way to gather with God’s people? What needs to change in you to reflect the attitude of the Psalmist in Psalm 122?
2. In verses 4-5, the Psalmist expressed great appreciation for the stability, diversity, and the purpose of the city of God. How do you see those three things evidenced in our church? How can you cultivate more gratitude for those things in the life of your church family?
3. How does the Psalmist respond to his joy and gratitude for the old covenant church of God? How might God be leading you to respond for the sake of His church?
