GRACE MADE VISIBLE: A STUDY OF THE LIFE OF JESUS
IN THE GOSPEL OF MARK
SERMON APPLICATION QUESTIONS
Mark 2:13-17

1. Who would have shown more appreciation for God’s grace, Levi or the religious leaders? Explain your response. In what ways have you shown gratitude to the Lord for His grace in your life?

2. What kinds of “sinners” are you reluctant to befriend? What keeps you from showing the love of Christ to them? Do you know a Levi (an outcast, seen by many as too far from God’s grace)? How are you responding to them?

3. Have you ever been offended when you saw a fellow Christian reaching out to a certain outcast or group of people? How did the Lord deal with you? What should be your response?

4. How would you help someone see that belief in Jesus is not something that can be added to their current religious beliefs? How is Jesus showing that He is ushering in a new age and showing Himself to be the only way of salvation?
